L’Institut Mines-Télécom, en tant qu’institut technologique de classe mondiale s’insère naturellement dans les grands programmes européens, notamment dans Horizon Europe, le programme de l’Union européenne pour la recherche et l’innovation.
Projets Horizon Europe
Horizon Europe est le programme-cadre de l’Union européenne (UE) pour la recherche et l’innovation pour la période allant de 2021 à 2027. Ce nouveau programme de recherche et d’innovation de l’UE dispose d’un budget d’environ 95,5 milliards d’euros pour 2021-2027 et fait suite à Horizon2020 qui couvrait la période 2014-2020.
Le programme Horizon Europe a pour objectifs de :
- renforcer les bases scientifiques et technologiques de l’Union ;
- stimuler sa compétitivité, y compris celle de son industrie ;
- concrétiser les priorités politiques stratégiques de l’Union ;
- contribuer à répondre aux problématiques mondiales, dont les objectifs de développement durable.

Ces projets permettent de renforcer les liens de nos laboratoires avec nos partenaires européens industriels (PME, ETI et grands groupes) et académiques (universités, centres de recherche) et apportent des moyens clefs pour développer notre recherche.
L’objectif de ces projets est de faire progresser l’état de l’art scientifique et technologique dans nos domaines respectifs de compétences.
Ils contribuent aussi à proposer des applications industrielles de nos recherches permettant d’en valoriser les résultats dans le cadre d’un transfert technologique à nos partenaires privés en France et en Europe.

Académie franco-allemande pour l’industrie du futur
Dans le cadre du partenariat entre l’Alliance française pour l’Industrie du Futur et la plateforme allemande Industrie 4.0, l’IMT et la Technische Universität München (TUM) ont créé en 2015, l’Académie franco-allemande pour l’industrie du futur.
Cette académie « sans murs » est destinée à valoriser la complémentarité des compétences recherche et formation franco-allemandes dans les thématiques de l’industrie du futur. Elle est ouverte à d’autres partenariats.
