IMT at the International Cybersecurity Forum, January 25th and 26th 2016 in Lille
IMT will be particularly well represented at the 8th edition of this forum dedicated to data security and privacy, with the presence of experts from Télécom Bretagne, Télécom Paris and Télécom Evolution. In the space of a few years, cybersecurity has indeed become a key component of research and learning programs (both initial and lifelong) in which the Institute’s graduate schools have historically had strong academic legitimacy.
Cybersecurity experts and demos
For this flagship forum, Télécom Bretagne teams will be present at the stand of the Cyber center of excellence, initiated by the Ministry of Defense and by the Bretagne Regional Council.
Research professors will present the Network Cybersecurity Architect MOOC project, planned for June 2016, as well as two demos:
> Demo 1 – The anonymization of mail data from the French Postal Service based on “grid mapping” techniques (using GPS coordinates for the addresses) which will be developed by Lamane, a Télécom Bretagne spin-off that is currently being set up. This solution is scaled up for Big Data environments.
> Demo 2 – A security problem in industrial control systems
The demonstration platform is made up of controllers, sensors and actuators that are representative of components simulating an assembly line. The demonstration shows the risks of interception, analysis and changes to communications between the platform components, as well as consequences in terms of disturbances to the operation of the platform.
An offering of learning programs in the area of cybersecurity
Télécom Evolution (the new brand of lifelong learning for the Télécom Bretagne, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis schools) will present its cybersecurity learning program offering: short internships and specialist certificates aimed at the new cybersecurity professions, together with the future Network Cybersecurity Architect MOOC.
Télécom Paris will also be present at the International Cybersecurity Forum to present its offering of specialist advanced diplomas in the forum’s Career Area.
