IMT, a prominent player in African growth
Institut Mines-Télécom is a prominent player in African growth. It has been present on the continent since 2017, notably in Côte d’Ivoire with IMT Atlantique, in partnership with the ESATIC (African School of Information and Communication Technologies). Ecole des Mines Saint-Etienne is also partnering the Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INPHB). IMT Mines Albi also offers a double degree with 2IE in Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.
It Is in Senegal, a country with great potential, that IMT has chosen to pursue its development in Africa through its strategic plan. Senegal, one of the most active countries in Western Africa in the area of digital technology, boasts well-developed network and telecommunications infrastructure, thus offering favorable conditions for launching a Bachelor degree and opening the first Edulab IMT in Dakar. In 2016, the country developed the “Digital Senegal 2025” plan based on the strategies defined in the ‘Emerging Senegal Plan’ which sets out Senegal’s ambition to maintain its position as a leading country in African innovation.
