TeraLab: an accelerator for AI, Big Data and IoT projects
TeraLab is a “trusted third-party” platform that provides state-of-the-art tools for collaboration between businesses and researchers, designed to accelerate AI, Big Data and IoT projects developed at Institut Mines-Télécom.
A strong European reputation
TeraLab was created in 2014, in response to a call for “Cloud Computing and Big Data“ projects by the Investissements d’Avenir (Future Investments) Program (PIA).
In addition to making available a group of servers (called, “commodity” servers) and a “teramemory” machine (responding to the consumption of large quantities of RAM) based in Douai, TeraLab works with many teams of researchers and recognized experts in the field of artificial intelligence.
It provides expertise in a wide range of areas such as infrastructure configuration, consulting, algorithmics, machine learning, deep learning, data visualization etc.
In 2016 TeraLab was awarded the “Silver i-Space” label by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), a European guarantee of the quality of services it provides from both a technological and legal point of view.
TeraLab is the only French platform to receive the “Silver i-space” label.
