IMT and the Saclay Campus

IMT is one of 23 partners of the Saclay Campus project.

These partners have committed to the objective of forming a large, international science and technology campus at Saclay, part of a “cluster” with a strong economic development potential. After completion of the Saclay Campus file on February 24, 2009, in the framework of Operation Campus which was initiated in 2008 by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the State has honored its commitment to the project’s completion, in particular through the future investments program.

IMT’s participation in the Saclay campus project is part of the implementation of its growth strategy for the Télécom family.

IMT plans to install Télécom Paris and some of Télécom SudParis’s activities within the campus in 2019, with optimal reception for students and staff.

IMT will also be able to contribute to the creation of this cluster which has strong ambitions in an environment which:

  • encourages the diversity and quality of training programs
  • stimulates research and innovation
  • is meaningful at international level
  • is consistent with the Télécom family’s main scientific themes

The planned establishment is at the very heart of one of the structuring districts of the Campus, “the ICST district” (Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies), closely linked to partners such as the Ecole Polytechnique, the INRIA, the ENSTA, Digiteo or Nano-INNOV, ideal for cooperation and consolidated partnerships. More generally speaking, Télécom Paris and Télécom SudParis will also benefit from communication with the Saclay campus stakeholders
