Representatives from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) visit IMT

,

Monday 4th September saw a visit from a group of representatives from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), including HIT’s International Relations Director, as well as the Dean and professors from the School of Energy Science and Engineering. The school’s strengths include traditional thermal power engineering (Key national laboratory) and the environmental issues that surround this (processing of harmful emissions associated with coal, waste-to-energy schemes, biomass, etc.), nuclear power and propulsion (aeronautic and cosmic).

The next day, accompanied by IMT’s Executive Management team, the representatives visited IMT Atlantique’s site in Nantes, where they were able to see the Energy and Environment Systems Department.

HIT is China’s 5th best university. It is part of C9, an elite group of universities equivalent to the American Ivy League. HIT is an institution founded by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. IMT has established a double-degree agreement with HIT. Exchanges have been focused on developing this collaboration.
