A look back at the annual #StOpE initiative ceremony: Institut Mines-Télécom celebrates one year of commitment to the collective!

,

On January 25, 2024, the first official national anti-sexism day, the French Association of Diversity Managers (AFMD) celebrated the fifth anniversary of the #StOpE initiative at the annual ceremony.

This ceremony attended by Aurore Bergé, Minister for Gender Equality and the Fight against Discrimination, provided the opportunity to present the association’s results and the actions carried out by the #StOpE collective.

This year, 72 companies, public organizations and associations signed the pledge of commitment and joined #StOpE, which now has a total of 270 signatories.

Institut Mines-Télécom took advantage of the opportunity to reiterate its commitment to the initiative as signatory on January 23, 2023, and highlight its film “Consentement” (Consent) produced in partnership with the start-up REVERTO. The immersive virtual reality experience aims to raise awareness among our staff and students about gender-based and sexual violence.

The purpose of the #StOpE initiative is to join forces in fighting sexism – still commonplace in the workplace – and promote actions and good practices in this area.

Since 2021, the French Association of Diversity Managers (AFMD) has taken over the coordination of the #StOpE initiative. #StOpE is an initiative committed to bringing about change and increasing its impacts on the culture of organizations.

IMT is proud to be part of this initiative, in keeping with the efforts it has implemented through the plan to combat gender-based and sexual violence and its gender equality plan.
