The summer school “Future IoT, IoT meets security” will take place from 5 to 9 October 2020 remotely
After “IoT meets Industry” in 2018 and “IoT meets AI” in 2019, “IoT meets Security” is the 3rd summer school on the theme “Future IoT”. It is organised from 05 to 09 October 2020 by IMT Atlantique and the TUM (Technical University of Munich), with the support of the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future supported by IMT, the Franco-German University and the Institut Carnot Télécom & Société numérique.
The Internet of Things (IoT) connects a large number of devices to each other and allows them to interact with the physical environment. This opens up many opportunities, but also involves risks.
This summer school will present the world of the Industrial Internet of Things – the IoT that runs factories – from device manufacturing to communication protocol and semantics to application management.
This year’s edition is entitled “Making the IoT secure”. In addition to interoperability, security is a major challenge for today’s IoT. We will discover with you attacks and protection mechanisms, both theoretical and practical, in challenges provided directly by the factories and research laboratories of our industrial partners.
The Summer School “Future IoT | IoT meets security” will take place 100% online from 5 to 9 October 2020. On the programme: conferences, tutorials, hackatons and many moments of conviviality.
Students will have the opportunity to learn from the best IoT and security experts during inspiring keynotes and round tables and to exercise their knowledge on high-level technological challenges and real-life use cases provided by ArianeGroup, Airbus, Atos, e.l.m Leblanc Bosch, Amazon Web Services and Siemens.
The registration is done online, for the remote the registration is free but compulsory.
