On 5 May 2022, the ESIGELEC engineering school and Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT), committed to a strategic partnership to extend their long-standing collaboration. ESIGELEC is already affiliated with Institut Mines-Télécom, through an agreement in effect since 2011, and IMT sits on its board of directors.

The signing ceremony was attended by Odile Gauthier, Executive Director of Institut Mines-Télécom,  Alain Schmitt, Director of IMT Nord Europe, Didier Pézier, Chairman of the Board of ESIGELEC, Étienne Craye, Managing Director of ESIGELEC, as well as Hervé Morin, President of the Rouen Normandy métropole and Mayor of Rouen.

This new “strategic partnership” will focus on four priorities: education, research, economic development and international relations.

For Étienne Craye, Managing Director of ESIGELEC, “This partnership opens up great opportunities with IMT, in particular with IMT Nord Europe, due to its geographical proximity, and IMT-BS for a double degree, in addition to all the other schools. ”

“Four areas for collaboration are strengthened through this strategic partnership: education, research, economical development, and innovation/entrepreneurship,” says Didier Pezier, Chairman of the Board  of ESIGELEC.

And for Odile Gauthier, Executive Director of Institut Mines-Télécom, “This agreement formalizes a long-standing cooperation.”
