Institut Mines-Telecom signs a partnership with Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and its future Economic Development Agency
Institut Mines-Telecom, France’s leading group of graduate engineering and management schools (7 engineering schools including IMT Mines Alès, 1 business school and 2 subsidiary schools) is to open operations in Montpellier as part of its partnership with Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and its future Economic Development Agency. The aim is to support the necessary changes for local business in the context of their digital, environmental and societal transition. This partnership will address all their needs through a direct link with the Development Agency’s service provision. Firms will be able to choose from a variety of support packages geared towards their development chain.
This partnership has resulted in the creation of a Transition & Executive Education Center, or TExEd, and is the fruit of a synergy between the two founding partners:
- A strong commitment on the part of the Metropolis to become a pioneering and active region in societal transition and the creation of its Development Agency.
- Institut Mines-Telecom’s wish to contribute actively to economic growth and competitiveness by providing the region with the multiple expertise of its schools, beyond the scope of the Group’s only school located in the area.
Providing the Montpellier region with the expertise and wealth of Institut Mines-Telecom schools which are not physically located in the area forms the specificity of this partnership. IMT Mines Alès will serve as a local relay for this Institut Mines-Telecom project.
