Institut Mines-Télécom schools stand out in the 2021 THE Impact Ranking

, ,

This year, Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) has four of its schools placed among the 18 French institutions that are ranked. IMT Atlantique has taken the lead in the ranking of French institutions. Institut Mines-Télécom Business School is the 4th school in the group to join. These results come in recognition of the constant work of the schools, as well as of IMT’s more global approach to the ecological transition.

This prestigious ranking measures the contribution of higher education and research institutions to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out by the UN.

The ecological transition at Institut Mines-Télécom

Institut Mines-Télécom has made the ecological transition a component of its mission statement and a major strategic focus.

Its objective is to train responsible engineers and managers capable of meeting the challenges of the ecological, digital and industrial transitions.

Institut Mines-Télécom is also developing research and innovation in support of a sustainable economic and social model. Finally, it supports territories and companies in their transitions.

IMT organizes numerous projects and working groups in order to develop its teaching at the service of the ecological transition and more broadly all its activities. At the start of the 2021 school year, first-year students at IMT schools will follow a common core curriculum on the ecological transition. An inter-school working group has also been set up to accelerate the generalization of good practices on campus. Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility delegations have been systematically set up in schools.

IMT schools have improved or maintained their position in the 2021 edition, even though the number of institutions ranked this year has increased significantly (776 in 2020 and 1,115 in 2021).
