Today it seems obvious to all of us that we are changing the world as a result of the interaction between globalization, the acceleration of scientific and technological developments, digitalization and, of course, ecological transition policies. With this in mind, it is clear that we can no longer continue to ensure waste management the way it was conceived 50 years ago, at the dawn of the consumer society.
