9th European Researchers’ Night

The general public is invited to meet researchers and discover the role of Experience in their research. The researchers’ night is organized in many European locations. Initiated by the European Commission, this event is being held in a variety of locations in France: cinema theaters, libraries, museums, universities and some more unusual places… Visitors will encounter today’s explorers: researchers!

Mines-Albi
Organized for the first time in the city of Albi by Mines Albi-Carmaux and the CUFR-Champollion, the European Researchers’ Night will gather together researchers, PhD students and lab technicians from all disciplines ranging from archaeology to physics and chemistry, via sociology, economics, law, medicine and mathematics.
From 7 pm at the Espace des cordeliers, Cinémovida, rue des Cordeliers, Albi.

Mines Saint-Etienne
Five researchers from Mines Saint-Etienne will be taking part in the European Researchers’ Night at the planetarium in Vaulx-en-Velin. They will be contributing to a discussion workshop on a project to roll out a participative photo library for the OHM-VR (Rhône Valley observatory). Find out more

In Brest, more than 150 researchers and PhD students are rolling up their sleeves and leaving their laboratories. Visitors are plunged into contexts as unrelated as possible to the world of research: set designers, inventors and mediators are preparing extravagant discovery visits to make viewers see researchers differently.
