Institut Mines-Télécom (Ministry for the Economy and Finance) has made some thirty online learning modules (MOOCs*) offered by IMT schools available in response to the emergency situation.

In the coming days, over thirty online learning modules (MOOCs*) developed by Institut Mines-Télécom – the number one group of engineering and management graduate schools in France – and   Mines ParisTech, will be available for free on the public platform FUN – France Université Numérique (in addition to the Coursera and edX platforms). Half of these modules have been re-opened or extended on an exceptional basis in response to the emergency situation, and are open to an unlimited number of learners.

Of particular interest is a set of courses on how companies are changing in response to digital technology:

• A brand new “Digital Transformation and Business” program available online designed for middle managers from companies of all kinds. This program, which was originally intended to require a paid subscription, will be offered for free in response to the current health crisis (starting next week on fun-mooc.fr)
• A comprehensive “Digital Manufacturing” program that gives learners the opportunity to learn about and get hands-on experience in programming connected objects, modeling and digital printing. (Available on fun-mooc.fr)
• An “Innovating in a Digital World” MOOC. Available in French on fun-mooc.fr and in English on coursera.org
• A comprehensive “C Language” program based on interactive learning tools to develop proficiency in one of the main computer programming languages used around the world. Two courses are available in French on fun-mooc.fr, as well as an English-language program comprising 7 MOOCs that culminates in a Professional Certificate© (through a paid subscription), recognized by leading industrial groups such as Airbus, Nokia and Thalès. Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Secretary of State to the French Minister for the Economy and Finance, has praised the faculty of Institut-Mines-Télécom schools for their hard work and dedication, as they continue to provide distance learning for the schools’ students while providing training opportunities for companies and employees during this health crisis.
