IMT is already present on the Paris Saclay campus, and has been since 2012.

Ahead of the mass move to Palaiseau in 2019, some fifty people from research teams at Télécom SudParis and Télécom Paris moved into the Nano-INNOV building in Palaiseau in spring 2012 and are contributing to the development of the NanoSciences / Nanotechnologies thematic.

The teams concerned are working on identified research themes for which collaborations with teams from the CEA-LIST already exist, or are likely to be created.

There is a focus on optics and interaction for multimedia (biometry, televigilance) fields, as well as on networks and embedded systems sectors.

Additionally, identified scientific projects may be carried out depending on opportunities.

Nano-INNOV is located near the plot of land where the new IMT facility will be built in 2019 (opposite Horiba and near the Institut d’optique Graduate School).
