IMT at the forefront of research into the recycling of surgical masks
Research teams from IMT Atlantique and Mines Saint-Étienne have just published an article in the scientific journal Chemosphere showing that masks retain their filtering power and breathability after ten washings.
Laurence Le Coq, IMT Atlantique, and Jérémie Pourchez, Mines Saint-Étienne, participated in this study.
This work is the result of research conducted since the beginning of the health crisis by a consortium that also includes researchers from CNRS and CEA.
