Assia Tria appointed Director of IMT Mines Alès
Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery and Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Deputy Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery, in charge of industry, the supervisory ministry for Institut Mines-Télécom, have appointed Assia Tria as Director of IMT Mines Alès (Order of November 8, 2021). She will take up her duties as the head of this engineering graduate school on December 1st, 2021, for a five-year term.
Her experience in setting up industrial partnerships of excellence will be a major asset in her new position as head of IMT Mines Alès. She will need to make connections between the school’s research and teaching departments and companies seeking innovation. Her mission also involves strengthening the school’s positioning at the national and international levels and in the ecosystems of Nîmes and Montpellier. One objective will be to increase the institution’s own resources by creating common synergies with all Institut Mines-Télécom schools. Assia Tria will also participate in the preparatory work and implementation of the 2030 strategy for Institut Mines-Télécom and in the development of its Objectives and Performance Contract for 2023-2028. She will need to integrate the various components of this contract in the strategic plan for IMT Mines Alès, which she will steer in conjunction with the school board, in keeping with public policy.
