Institut Mines-Télécom among the Top 50 patent applicants in France !

INPI has ranked IMT among the Top 50 patent applicants in France and among the Top 10 higher education and research institutions for patents filed, with 33 patents published in 2020.

Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT) puts its research to work for economic development, with a strategy aimed at promoting technology transfer to companies and to the startups in its incubators, and by encouraging spin-offs from its laboratories.

IMT is a key academic contributor to patents in its regions. At its eight schools, 2,200 researchers, research professors and research engineers, PhD students and post-doc students (excluding CIFRE scheme) are taking up the major technological challenges of the 21st century, at the crossroads of major industrial, digital and ecological transformations. Its excellence in research focused on key issues has led to the development of scientific leadership that serves the needs of the economy and society.
