Towards the HRS4R label: IMT dossier submitted for evaluation

IMT has taken another step in its quest for the European HR Excellence in Research (HRS4R): the application dossier has been officially submitted on the EURAXESS platform.

This submission marks an important step in the process undertaken by IMT to improve the quality of its human resources practices for research, in line with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

A collective effort across the IMT

The preparation of this application involved many stakeholders within tIMT. The Technological Universities, departments and services contributed to the development of a dossier that reflects the group’s commitment and practices in favour of an attractive, open and responsible research environment.

Next step in the process

In accordance with the HRS4R procedure, the dossier will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts over a period of about one month.

Anticipating the implementation of the action plan

At the same time, IMT is already preparing the implementation phase of the action plan associated with the label, so that it can quickly launch the planned actions as soon as the evaluation feedback is received.

As required by the European procedure, an interim implementation report will be produced two years after the label is awarded. This will be followed by an external evaluation in 2031, which will determine whether the label is renewed.

IMT’s commitment

Through this approach, IMT is committed to a programme of continuous improvement of its research environment. The action plan developed at the IMT level aims to strengthen the attractiveness of scientific careers and to better support researchers at all stages of their career path, with particular attention paid to young scientists at the beginning of their careers. Mentoring, training and career guidance schemes will be developed to support their integration, progress and scientific autonomy. This approach also aims to consolidate transparent and equitable recruitment and evaluation practices, while strengthening a framework for responsible research based on scientific integrity, open access to knowledge, equal opportunities and working conditions conducive to creativity and innovation.

Finally, this approach is in line with IMT’s desire to develop a demanding, open and attractive research environment, in line with its commitment to train and support the actors involved in major scientific, technological and societal transformations.
