IMT has renewed its membership of the University Club run by EdTech France, an association representing France’s educational technology sector. This partnership gives the IMT community direct access to the EdTech ecosystem, helping its members explore new tools, discuss their potential and ensure that the voice of higher education is heard.
Artificial intelligence, learning platforms and new digital tools are rapidly transforming how we teach, assess and support students. These developments raise important questions about teaching practices, ethics, data protection and digital sovereignty. Making informed decisions means understanding emerging solutions, getting to know the organisations behind them and engaging with experts in the field.
As EdTech evolves, so do our practices
The partnership with EdTech France will provide:
- A better understanding of available tools, enabling informed decisions about which solutions best meet individual needs;
- Direct insights into the EdTech ecosystem to keep up with innovations, trends and industry discussions: IMT community members will be able to receive the members-only newsletter, access industry reports and resources, and take part in EdTech France working groups;
- Opportunities to connect and exchange ideas: IMT teams will be invited to EdTech France events, both online and in person, to discover new solutions, engage with their developers and learn from the experiences of other higher education institutions;
- Access to opportunities across the sector: EdTech France will share calls for projects, opportunities to pilot new solutions and potential collaborations from across its network with the IMT community;
- Greater visibility for our initiatives: twice a year, IMT will be able to share selected EdTech news and initiatives with the wider sector through LinkedIn, newsletters and working groups;
- Opportunities to build knowledge and awareness: IMT will be able to invite EdTech France to deliver awareness-raising sessions for its staff or partners at preferential rates, in line with IMT’s AI strategy.
Resources to explore, with academic freedom preserved
The partnership with EdTech France places no obligations on teaching staff, who remain free to choose their teaching methods and tools. The services available are optional resources that everyone can explore and use according to their needs and interests.
A shared goal: secure, responsible and sovereign AI
This partnership forms part of IMT’s AI programme, which covers teaching, research tools and administration. The goal remains the same: to encourage responsible and secure uses of AI that reflect our values, while prioritising solutions that support digital sovereignty wherever possible.
“Through this partnership, we want to give IMT teams the knowledge and insights they need to better understand developments in EdTech, discover new solutions and engage with professionals across the sector. Our aim is not to introduce more tools for the sake of it, but to empower everyone to make informed choices that meet their teaching needs while upholding our standards for security, digital sovereignty and ethics.”
Lucie Jacquet-Malo, IMT AI Programme Coordinator
