The IMT Ambassadrices program is back to continue promoting equal opportunity and expanding access to science studies and careers for young women.
IMT committed to gender balance in engineering
Women still make up less than one-third of engineering students in French schools.
In response, the IMT and the Mines-Télécom Foundation created the Ambassadrices program: a training and outreach initiative led by students from our Technological Universities, aimed at encouraging young women to pursue careers in science and engineering.
In 2023–2024, 55 #IMTAmbassadrices took part in the program, reaching over 2,500 middle and high school students across France!

The application period is now open. Students and PhD candidates from IMT’s Technological Universities are strongly encouraged to apply!

The program is structured around two key phases :
Ambassadrices Weekends
Training and coaching sessions for our #IMTAmbassadrices, including immersive weekends, masterclasses, conferences, and workshops.
Ambassadrices Program: an immersive weekend to inspire the next generation of women engineers!
Outreach activities in middle and high schools
In the field, #IMTAmbassadrices engage directly with younger students to promote engineering careers to young women.
Whether at career fairs, in-class presentations, or guided campus visits to IMT’s schools, participants in the program share insights into science and engineering studies—from admissions and career paths to personal stories—through lively and engaging activities.

Host #IMTAmbassadrices at your school!
During school visits or education forums, Ambassadrices raise awareness and provide guidance on science and engineering education through interactive discussions and hands-on activities.
- From September to June – Minimum 1.5-hour sessions
- On-site in your institution – Available throughout France
- Mixed and/or non-mixed groups – Middle and high schools
