The Institut Mines-Télécom becomes an ambassador for the national ‘Osez l’IA’ (Dare to use AI) plan

1 July 2025 marks a key milestone for innovation in France: the official launch of the national plan ‘Osez l’IA’ (Dare to use AI), led by Clara Chappaz, Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology. This ambitious plan aims to spread artificial intelligence throughout French companies, regardless of their size or sector of activity.

The Institut Mines-Télécom is proud to announce that it is becoming an ambassador for this national plan. Alongside committed players such as Éric Lombard, Marc Ferracci, Nathalie Delattre, Véronique Louwagie, Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet and Françoise Gatel, IMT will promote this initiative throughout the country.

A major player in higher education, research and innovation since the 19th century, Institut Mines-Télécom and its schools support major societal, economic and industrial transitions. Becoming an ambassador for the ‘Osez l’IA’ plan means extending this mission by taking concrete action to accelerate the adoption of AI throughout France.

Why ‘Dare to use AI’?

Because artificial intelligence is no longer just for large companies or experts. It is already a lever for transformation for all organisations :

  • Automate repetitive tasks to save time ;
  • Explore new ideas and innovate more quickly ;
  • Analyse and visualise data to make better decisions ;
  • Creating content (text, images, presentations) and stimulating creativity.

Thanks to AI, a company can improve its productivity, accelerate its innovations and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. But many SMEs, mid-cap companies and micro-businesses do not know how to get started or integrate these tools into their daily operations. This is precisely the challenge of the ‘Dare to use AI’ plan: to provide support.

A concrete and ambitious national plan

The ‘Osez l’IA’ plan is based on three main pillars :

  • Raising awareness with a network of 300 AI ambassadors throughout France to inform, advise and share concrete opportunities.
  • Provide training through an AI Academy, scheduled to open in late 2025, with content tailored to all audiences: craftspeople, employees, managers, students, and researchers. The goal is to train 15 million professionals by 2030.
  • Support with AI data diagnostics, a catalogue of solutions, government-backed loans and calls for projects to finance practical applications.

All sectors are involved: industry, healthcare, culture, tourism, sport, the environment, housing, transport, etc. By 2030, the plan aims to have 100% of large groups, 80% of SMEs/mid-cap companies and 50% of micro-enterprises actively using AI.

A commitment at the heart of Institut Mines-Télécom’s values

Institut Mines-Télécom is committed to promoting ethical, sovereign and responsible AI, in line with French and European values. This commitment will be put into practice in the field, thanks to the involvement of its schools, researchers and economic partners.

For IMT, artificial intelligence is not just a technology : it is a lever for strengthening competitiveness, reinventing professions and contributing to major economic and societal transitions.

Let’s work together to embrace AI and build a more innovative, inclusive and sustainable economy.
