IMT’s involvement in the EULiST 2025 General Assembly as a driving force for innovation and student engagement

Délégation IMT à l'assemblée générale EULiST

From March 31 to April 2, 2025, the General Assembly of the EULiST European universities alliance was held, hosted this year by the University of L’Aquila, Italy. This event was a real catalyst, injecting fresh energy into EULiST’s major projects, boosting synergies between partners and developing an ambitious vision of a more integrated, inclusive and resolutely innovative university.

A key contribution to mobility strategy and student employability

One of the highlights of the meeting was the session dedicated to “Joint Undertakings”, during which the European internship platform co-developed by IMT was presented. This initiative is part of a global strategy to support student mobility and professional integration on a European scale. Co-hosted by Olivier Epinette, IMT’s Director of International Affairs, the session consolidated cooperation between the partner universities around this strategic tool, destined to become a major lever for the attractiveness of the European university, EULiST.

The Student Board working towards an inclusive, sustainable and connected European university

As members of the organizing committee, IMT’s student representatives are fully committed to preparing the next EULiST Student Conference, to be held at IMT Nord Europe. This annual event, designed by and for students, will bring together 200 participants from 10 major European universities. Together, they will discuss today’s key challenges: sustainability, digital transformation and European citizenship.

This initiative reflects EULiST’s collective ambition and highlights IMT’s commitment to partnerships, educational innovation and its international outlook. In giving the student voice an outlet, the initiative also encourages the active contribution of young people to the transformations underway.

Quality assurance and governance: IMT driving European convergence

IMT also reaffirmed its commitment to the Quality Assurance TG 1.4 , co-piloted by Olivier Epinette, with a presentation of the project’s work to date. The aim of this task group is to put forward a quality assurance plan, shared by the member institutions, a key requirement for the deployment of the European university and its European campus, which is central to the project’s success

A vision aligned with EULiST’s objectives: mobility, sustainability, open science

This 2025 General Assembly confirmed IMT’s determination to get fully involved in the European strategy for competitiveness in higher education, by making an active contribution to the priorities set out by EULiST :

  • Development of sustainable and attractive campuses
  • Implementation of innovative educational models (lifelong learning, flexibility)
  • Promotion of diversity in STEM
  • Roll out of an inclusive digital strategy through the EULiST Knowledge Hub

Working towards a collaborative and transformative European university

With EULiST, IMT fully affirms its commitment to an inclusive, innovative and forward-looking European university. This approach is in keeping with the group’s strategy of training engineers, managers and doctors capable of working in a changing world, in close connection with major international academic networks and the challenges of the digital, ecological and societal transition.
