On 21 May 2025, the Deans of IMT’s Technological Universities, together with Executive President Cécile Dubarry, signed the Respect–Equality Charter. This foundational text, shared by all of IMT, reflects a united determination to guarantee a respectful, inclusive, and protective environment for work and study.

A Landmark Action in Combating Violence and Discrimination

This collective signing is a flagship action of the new 2024–2026 action plan against harassment, sexist and sexual violence, and discrimination (HVSSD plan), within the strategic framework “IMT Commits”. It continues the initiatives undertaken since 2021 to foster a culture of respect and equality across IMT’s Technological Universities.

A Charter to Promote Inclusion and Respect in Daily Life

The Charter sets out essential principles to guide behaviour and relationships within the IMT community:

  • Respect for individuals and their differences
  • Kindness in words and actions, and tolerance
  • Physical and psychological safety
  • Rejection of all forms of violence or discrimination

A Community Mobilised for Inclusion

The Charter applies to the entire IMT community — staff, students, PhD candidates, and external contributors — and covers all areas of IMT life: campuses, workplaces, student associations, events, and digital spaces.

“Through this Charter, we reaffirm our collective determination to make IMT an environment where respect for others is not optional, but a shared commitment.”
— Cécile Dubarry, Executive President of IMT
