Patrick Olivier was officially appointed Director of Télécom Paris on February 14, 2025 by the French Ministry for the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. He will assume his role as head of this prestigious technological university forming part of IMT, from March 1 and for a period of 5 years.
“Our country needs to seize technological opportunities to serve ecological and energy transitions, from the electrification of uses to the integration of AI in all areas of industry and everyday life. These are the challenges that the younger generation wants us to take on. Télécom Paris is at the heart of this revolution, which will be as much technical as it is societal, to train the talents our economy will require and to carry out cutting-edge research. As head of this prestigious school, I’ll also be bringing this ambition to the international stage, drawing on the strength of the IMT and Institut Polytechnique de Paris teams. ”
