Accessibility and eco-design of the IMT.fr website
The IMT.fr website has undergone a redesign; the current version, launched at the end of 2024, is the result of an approach that incorporated accessibility and eco-design considerations right from the design stage.
A design tailored to all audiences
Digital accessibility aims to ensure equitable access to online content and services, regardless of users’ abilities. With this in mind, the IMT.fr website has been designed in accordance with the recommendations of the RGAA and international standards (WCAG).
Particular attention has been paid to clear navigation, content structure and compatibility with assistive technologies (keyboard navigation, screen readers), in order to provide an experience that is accessible to as many people as possible.
An eco-design approach
The website redesign is also part of an eco-design approach, aimed at minimising its environmental impact. Technical and editorial choices have been made to prioritise digital simplicity: optimising loading times, reducing page weight and limiting non-essential resources.
This approach enables us to balance performance, efficiency and a reduced environmental footprint.
Audit and continuous improvement
The current version of the site underwent an audit in January 2025, covering accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA standards, RGAA, and the European Directive 2016/2102 on digital accessibility), performance and environmental impact.
- Eco-design: strong performance and effective overall optimisation
- Accessibility: partially compliant
The findings of this audit inform a process of continuous improvement, with the gradual implementation of corrective measures and optimisations. The aim is to enhance the site’s level of accessibility over time and to continue the efforts undertaken in the area of responsible digital technology.
