A Prestigious Showcase for a Collective Ambition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On November 15\u201316, 2025, the ECOTRAIN <\/strong>rail shuttle was on display in front of the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace as part of the Grande Exposition du Fabriqu\u00e9 en France<\/a><\/em>, an annual event that celebrates the excellence of French industrial know-how. This year, 123 emblematic projects<\/strong> were highlighted\u2014including this lightweight mobility solution<\/strong><\/a> designed to revive local railway lines currently underused.

This recognition is a great source of pride for all project partners, and in particular for IMT, which is deeply engaged in innovation that serves local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ECOTRAIN: A Project Driving the Mobility Transition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Developed as a tangible response to the challenge of transport in rural areas<\/strong>, ECOTRAIN is an autonomous, lightweight, electric, and modular shuttle. This demonstrator represents a new model of transport : connected, efficient, and accessible<\/strong>.

Ce projet est l\u2019un des laur\u00e9ats de l\u2019appel \u00e0 manifestation d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00ab digitalisation et d\u00e9carbonation du transport ferroviaire \u00bb, lanc\u00e9 en 2022 dans le cadre de France 2030<\/strong> et op\u00e9r\u00e9 par l\u2019ADEME<\/a>. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 imagin\u00e9 par Philippe Bourguignon, sp\u00e9cialiste des mobilit\u00e9s durables, et co-d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 avec un consortium d\u2019industriels <\/strong>\u2013 <\/strong>Groupe Stratiforme-Compreforme -Technoforme<\/a>, Socofer France<\/a>, CLEARSY<\/a>, Syntony GNSS<\/a> \u2013 <\/strong>et de deux \u00e9coles de l\u2019Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com<\/a> : IMT Mines Albi<\/strong> et IMT Nord Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project was one of the winners of the 2022 call for expressions of interest on \u201cDigitalization and Decarbonization of Rail Transport,\u201d launched under the France 2030 initiative and coordinated by ADEME<\/a>. It was conceptualized by Philippe Bourguignon, a specialist in sustainable mobility, and co-developed with an industrial consortium\u2014Groupe Stratiforme-Compreforme-Technoforme<\/a>, Socofer France<\/a>, CLEARSY<\/a>, Syntony GNSS<\/a>\u2014and two of IMT\u2019s Technological Universities<\/a> : IMT Mines Albi and IMT Nord Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
