{"id":9430,"date":"2025-09-16T10:38:39","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T08:38:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imt.fr\/annee-de-l-ingenierie-2025-2026-institut-mines-telecom\/"},"modified":"2025-11-14T10:50:39","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T09:50:39","slug":"year-of-engineering-2025-2026-institut-mines-telecom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imt.fr\/en\/year-of-engineering-2025-2026-institut-mines-telecom\/","title":{"rendered":"2025\u20132026: The Year of Engineering \u2013 IMT\u2019s Technological Universities Take Action !"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The academic year 2025\u20132026 has been designated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imt.fr\/en\/imt\/our-technological-universities\/\">the Year of Engineering<\/a>, and IMT\u2019s Technological Universities are proud to be fully involved!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This nationwide science outreach initiative aims to raise public awareness\u2014especially among young people and educators\u2014about the engineering profession, its educational pathways, and its societal impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insis.cnrs.fr\/fr\/2025-2026-annee-de-lingenierie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNRS<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.academie-technologies.fr\/lacademie-sengage-dans-lannee-de-lingenierie-2025-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French Academy of Technologies<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.education.gouv.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of National Education<\/a>, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, the initiative brings together a broad network of partners: universities, technological universities, research bodies, foundations, associations, and skills operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Because the great challenges of tomorrow must be tackled today, discover how engineering is helping shape a sustainable future.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Year of Outreach and Awareness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This ambition is fully aligned with the values of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imt.fr\/en\/imt\/our-identity\/\">IMT\u2014the leading public group of Technological Universities for engineering and management<\/a>\u2014which shares the following goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Showcase how engineering contributes to a more sustainable and responsible future<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promote the diversity of careers and training pathways, from vocational diplomas to PhDs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Challenge outdated perceptions and fight stereotypes, especially those related to gender<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage ethical reflection on the impact of technologies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthen France\u2019s strategic autonomy and economic resilience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Towards Sustainable and Responsible Engineering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sustainable and responsible engineering involves developing technologies and processes that make efficient use of resources while preserving the environment and natural reserves for future generations. It also promotes low-energy systems and effective recycling solutions.
