Lucie Jacquet-Malo will help create an agile and coherent framework, open up new partnership opportunities, and contribute to preparing IMT\u2019s future AI roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This appointment follows the \u201cMines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com Days\u201d held last May in \u00c9vry, organized by Fran\u00e7ois Dellacherie, Dean of T\u00e9l\u00e9com SudParis, and Herbert Cast\u00e9ran, Dean of Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com Business School. These Days brought together staff from all Technological Universities and IMT\u2019s central office around the theme \u201cArtificial Intelligence across all disciplines.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They provided an opportunity to share existing initiatives in education, research, and institutional support across IMT. Discussions emphasized the importance of focusing IMT\u2019s AI strategy on sovereignty and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A background rooted in mathematics and AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An agr\u00e9g\u00e9e in mathematics and PhD graduate from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.u-picardie.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the University of Picardie Jules Verne<\/a>, Lucie Jacquet-Malo served from 2022 to 2024 as advisor to the President of the University of Picardie Jules Verne\u2014first as policy lead, then as Scientific Coordinator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/demoes-pro3.fr\/demoes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DemoES <\/a>project under the France 2030 initiative. In 2025, she represented the DemoES-awarded institutions at the Global Summit on AI Action with the \u201cAI Convergence\u201d challenge: using AI to enhance educational performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She initiated the Alliance between <a href=\"https:\/\/mistral.ai\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mistral AI<\/a>, EdTech France, and 36 higher education institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since April 2025, Lucie Jacquet-Malo has served as project lead for sovereign generative AI for higher education and research institutions, on behalf of AMUE (Agency for Shared University Services) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cLeading IMT\u2019s AI Program means building on the collective strength of its Technological Universities to drive a national momentum toward sovereign, sustainable, and use-driven artificial intelligence.
