On September 16\u201317, 2024, IMT Mines Albi hosted the inaugural edition of the IMT Global Partners Forum<\/strong>, welcoming more than fifty academic, institutional and industry partners from Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. Strategically timed ahead of the EAIE Conference in Toulouse, this international gathering confirmed IMT\u2019s role as a committed player in driving major transformations in higher education, research and innovation on a global scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Key Milestone in IMT\u2019s International Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Opened by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Vincent, Deputy Executive Director for Education and International Affairs, the forum highlighted the pivotal role of international collaboration in addressing today\u2019s pressing scientific, technological, environmental and societal challenges. By convening its global network, IMT reasserted its ambition to co-create high-impact partnerships that contribute to a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The forum is directly aligned with IMT\u2019s 2023\u20132027 strategic roadmap\u2014particularly Strategic Priority T1<\/a>, which aims to bolster IMT\u2019s visibility and influence within the European and international higher education and research ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Lively European Momentum: EULiST in Focus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the forum\u2019s highlights was the session dedicated to the EULiST, European Universities Linking Society and Technology<\/a><\/strong>, which brought together representatives from several partner universities. Pablo Tom\u00e1s Salvadores Alonso (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos<\/a>) and Marcus Hoppe (Leibniz Universit\u00e4t Hannover<\/a>) outlined the alliance\u2019s core goals, its \u201cBeyond Europe\u201d vision, and the tangible opportunities it offers for mobility, joint projects, and scientific cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just an institutional exchange, this session anchored IMT\u2019s European dynamic and helped shape a shared roadmap with its international partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
