Conference EULiST 2025: 200 students shaping the European university of tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>From June 30 to July 4, <a href=\"https:\/\/imt-nord-europe.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMT Nord Europe<\/a> had the pleasure of hosting, on behalf of IMT, nearly 200 students from the European universities of the <a href=\"https:\/\/eulist.university\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EULiST alliance<\/a>, of which IMT is a proud member.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A European gathering to co-design the future of higher education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For one week, the IMT Nord Europe campus in Douai welcomed students from across EULiST partner universities for the <strong>second edition of the EULiST Student Conference<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event brought together the driving forces of European higher education around a shared ambition : to design<strong> a European university that is inclusive, sustainable and innovative, through :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The development of cross-disciplinary knowledge on major technological challenges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The strengthening of interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collective reflection on the future of European university alliances, placing students at the heart of action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is part of <strong>the European Universities Initiative<\/strong>, supported by the European Commission, and aims to strengthen class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Four key issues at the heart of the discussions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was punctuated by <strong>collaborative workshops<\/strong>, <strong>inspiring conferences<\/strong> and intercultural exchanges on <strong>strategic themes<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The European doctorate<\/strong> : working towards mutual recognition of doctoral programs to facilitate transnational academic pathways.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Inclusive mobility<\/strong> : making exchanges accessible to all, regardless of economic or social background.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Student engagement<\/strong> : promoting the active participation of students in university governance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ecological transition<\/strong> : embedding climate challenges into institutional priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A program rich in learning and discovery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the week, participants took part in a wide range of activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Meetings with companies and start-ups<\/strong>, fostering connections with the regional economic and innovation ecosystem.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thematic conferences<\/strong>, addressing topics such as international careers and environmental challenges linked to space debris.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cultural visits<\/strong> to explore the local heritage and strengthen intercultural ties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Co-design sessions<\/strong> to collectively imagine the tools, services and curricula of the future EULiST university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The highlight of the week was a <strong>gala evening at the Louvre-Lens museum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"EULiST: a European alliance for academic excellence\">EULiST: a European University of Technology (Czech Republic); J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping University (Sweden); University of Hanover (Germany); University of L\u2019Aquila (Italy); National Technical University of Athens (Greece); Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Slovakia); LUT University (Finland); Technische Universit\u00e4t Wien (Austria); Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Spain); and Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com (France).<br><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On the French side, all of <a href=\"http:\/\/Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 fran\u00e7ais, toutes les \u00e9coles de l\u2019Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com \u00e9taient repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es : IMT Atlantique, IMT Mines Albi, IMT Mines Al\u00e8s, IMT Nord Europe, Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com Business School, Mines Saint-\u00c9tienne, T\u00e9l\u00e9com Paris, T\u00e9l\u00e9com SudParis.\">IMT\u2019s Technological Universities were represented<\/a> :<br><strong>IMT Atlantique, IMT Mines Albi, IMT Mines Al\u00e8s, class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A European dynamic driven by youth<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond workshops and conferences, this student conference strengthened cohesion between institutions and highlighted the crucial role of young people in building Europe\u2019s academic future.
