From 17 to 20 June 2025, the IMT once again took part in Europe\u2019s biggest event dedicated to technology and start-ups : Viva Technology<\/a>.<\/strong>
This record-breaking edition brought together 180,000 participants<\/strong>, 14,000 start-ups<\/strong>, 171 nationalities<\/strong>, and generated 640,000 business connections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

36 IMT Start-ups Tackling Major Challenges<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sur le stand A08 de l’Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com : 36 projets entrepreneuriaux innovants<\/strong> \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir<\/a>, incarnant la richesse et la diversit\u00e9 des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes port\u00e9s par les incubateurs de nos \u00e9coles<\/strong>, qui illustrent l\u2019engagement de l\u2019IMT \u00e0 accompagner les transformations industrielles, num\u00e9riques, \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et \u00e9cologiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At IMT\u2019s Stand A08, visitors discovered 36 innovative entrepreneurial projects<\/a><\/strong> reflecting the richness and diversity of the ecosystems nurtured by our Technological Universities\u2019 incubators<\/strong>. These ventures embody IMT\u2019s commitment to driving industrial, digital, energy, and ecological transformations.

IMT\u2019s Technological Universities in Unison<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The event was also an opportunity to meet teams from IMT\u2019s eight Technological Universities<\/a><\/strong>, 13 incubation sites<\/strong>, and teaching and research laboratories<\/strong>, all mobilised to showcase IMT\u2019s scientific expertise and training programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearly 700 students<\/strong> benefited from a complimentary pass, allowing them to take full advantage of the event\u2019s opportunities: conferences, demonstrations, professional networking, keynote speeches, and more.
It was a real pleasure to welcome them to our stand and exchange ideas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discover, Learn, Connect : A Unique Experience at Viva Technology

Three tailor-made learning expeditions<\/strong> offered students, PhD candidates, and professionals a guided immersion in the heart of the event. Co-organised with the Fondation Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com<\/a>, the incubator teams, and IMT\u2019s General Management, these itineraries provided concrete insights into emerging innovations and facilitated key meetings with the Foundation\u2019s corporate sponsors \u2014 leaders in their respective sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VivaTech was also a platform for strategic meetings<\/strong>. Minister \u00c9ric Lombard<\/strong> visited the start-ups supported by IMT\u2019s Technological Universities \u2014 a strong moment to reaffirm the public value of France\u2019s leading group of public Technological Universities in engineering and management, under the supervision of the Ministry of the Economy<\/strong>, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty<\/strong>.

Another highlight was the signature of a strategic partnership<\/strong> with INPI France<\/strong>, aimed at strengthening the dissemination of industrial property culture in higher education.

Looking Ahead to the Next Edition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s VivaTech was an opportunity to deepen collaborations, showcase projects from IMT\u2019s Technological Universities, and confirm IMT\u2019s role as a key player in innovation in Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innovation is born from encounters, fuelled by ideas, and driven by cross-cutting dynamics \u2014 European, national, and regional \u2014 to which IMT contributes actively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viva Technology 2025 gave us 180,000 reasons to believe<\/strong> \u2014 and at least 36 projects to prove it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next edition will be held from 17 to 20 June 2026<\/strong>. IMT will be back to continue building a sustainable future alongside its partners and talents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
