On Friday March 14 and Saturday March 15, we brought together the students from the training and awareness-raising program <\/strong>from Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com (IMT)<\/a> and Fondation Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com<\/a>, that aims to promote and encourage engineering careers for young women.

A chance to get together, reflect and discuss their mission to raise awareness in middle and high schools<\/strong> !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the program for this second exciting event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A diverse and inspiring program, interspersed with various convivial moments, beginning with the guided tour of an RATP maintenance workshop and control center.<\/strong>

Then it was time to head to the Leonard<\/a> center, where St\u00e9phane Heitz, the new director of Fondation Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com<\/a>, kicked off the weekend with a welcome address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A program of events based on mentoring and shared expertise<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meetings, discussions Q&A sessions with the program sponsors and alumni<\/strong>. Their role? To act as mentors for the #IMTWomenAmbassadors throughout their studies and help them develop their network.

One of mentors, C\u00e9cile Dubarry<\/strong>, Executive President of Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com (IMT), spoke about her own path to become an engineer, and told the students all about her experience.

A big thanks to Dominique Fleury<\/a>, Nesrine Ettlili<\/a>, Florence Dufrasnes<\/a>, Aude Gauthier-Moreau<\/a>, In\u00e8s Martinez-Lavayssi\u00e8re<\/a>, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Houee<\/a>, Lamia Yataghene<\/a>, Delphine Roch\u00e9<\/a>, Solveig Bachellery<\/a>, Weronika Spiewak<\/a>, Candice Marion<\/a>, Caroline F.<\/a>, Estelle Couppey<\/a> and My-Linh Tong for their presence, support and commitment!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leveraging collective intelligence to raise awareness of scientific studies and careers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Practical workshops<\/strong> to prepare our #IMTWomenAmbassadors for future events: \u201cPublic speaking\u201d coaching, and several collective intelligence and feedback sessions allowed us to fine-tune and improve existing practices to raise awareness among future generations of engineers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bridge the gaps between commitment and training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A \u00a0conference on \u201cAI and gender bias\u201d<\/strong>, led by Cecere Grazia<\/a>, professor and director of research and doctoral programs at Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com Business School<\/a>, which includes the program in the CMA MACMIA, an initiative supported by the French government as part of the \u201cSkills and Professions of the Future\u201d call for expressions of interest of the France 2030 program, operated by the Caisse des D\u00e9p\u00f4ts, and meets the goal to boost attractiveness and raise awareness.

Congratulations once again to the 53 women ambassadors for this 2024-2025 edition for their commitment !<\/strong>

The Women Ambassadors program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Only 26% of engineering students are women in French engineering schools !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is with this in mind that Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com (IMT) and Fondation Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com created the Women Ambassadors program<\/a>, a training and awareness-raising initiative led by the students from our engineering schools<\/a> to encourage young women to opt for careers in science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023-2024, 58 women ambassadors got involved and provided support for some 2,100 middle and high school students !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
