With this partnership, IMT is committing its ten technological universities to a collective initiative that aims to experiment with responsible, sovereign and secure uses of generative artificial intelligence in higher education.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative, which was introduced at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elysee.fr\/sommet-pour-l-action-sur-l-ia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>International AI Action Summit<\/strong><\/a>, meets the needs expressed by higher education establishments: to have <strong>reliable, sovereign technological solutions aligned with the values of higher education and research<\/strong>, to benefit from a <strong>common framework for experimentation<\/strong>, and to be able to assess EdTech solutions in a controlled environment, while reaching industrial scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/mistral.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mistral AI<\/a>, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/edtechfrance.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EdTech France<\/a>, is organized around five themed working groups with active participation from IMT schools, working alongside other higher education and research establishments. These working groups cover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Policies, strategies and economic models<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The student experience and teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inclusion and accessibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Markets, safety and the legal framework<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IT systems, HR and schooling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As a joint effort along with Mistral AI and the EdTechs involved, the first tests will be carried out on pilot campuses from May 2025, and a first solution will be available to partner institutions at the start of the new academic year. The goal is to lay the foundations for the first \u201cAI Campuses\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A strategic response to tomorrow\u2019s challenges<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These commitments are part of the momentum generated by the <strong>DemoES<\/strong> call for expressions of interest (Digital Demonstrators in Higher Education), which revealed the need for a sustainable transformation of education systems. They are also in line with <strong>IMT\u2019s<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imt.fr\/en\/imt\/our-challenges\/\"><strong>overall strategy for 2023\u20132027<\/strong><\/a>, which includes a sovereign, sufficient and inclusive digital approach as one of its four main focus areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em><em>With this partnership, IMT affirms its goal to support the major transitions in higher education. Generative artificial intelligence, if designed within an ethical, inclusive and sovereign framework, can become a powerful driver of transformation for our campuses.
