Conferences, feedback sessions, practical workshops: the IAGen Tour made a stop at IMT Nord Europe, IMT Atlantique and IMT Mines Al\u00e8s. This initiative, launched at the Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com, in association with the IA programme, aims to help staff members to adopt generative AI and to encourage the sharing of best practices between schools.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can generative AI be used in practice? Which tools should be chosen? How can an agent be created to meet the needs of a team, data analysis be automated, or time saved in the design of educational resources?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IAGen Tour was launched to explore these questions in a very practical way. It was initiated by Julien Morice, Head of PracTice at Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com Business School, with the support of the General Management of the Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com. Its aim is to reach out to new audiences, develop the skills of teams and, above all, promote the use and sharing of experiences with generative AI across the IMT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three stages, one common principle: starting with the uses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a first stage at IMT Nord Europe on 30 April, the IAGen Tour continued at IMT Atlantique\u2019s campuses in Brest, Nantes and Rennes from 1 to 3 June, and then at IMT Mines Al\u00e8s on 2 July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three technological universities, four campuses and nearly 240 participants: these first stages confirm the interest of staff members in practical formats that are rooted in their professional practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each stage is co-created with the host university, following a common framework in three stages: opening up, sharing and equipping<\/strong>. A conference first provides an overview of the main points to consider around generative AI, based on concrete examples of use. This is followed by a feedback session on practices and the institution\u2019s position, before giving way to practical workshops tailored to the different professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At IMT Nord Europe, for example, the conference led by Julien Morice covered the maturity cycle of technologies, the main players in generative AI, the Ilaas and the challenges of digital sovereignty. A round table then gave the floor to school staff before an afternoon dedicated to getting to grips with the tools and best practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use cases directly related to professions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the principles of the IAGen Tour is not to approach AI solely from the point of view of tools, but to start from concrete professional situations to facilitate better adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exchanges organised in schools made it possible to present several experiments already carried out by the teams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • creation of AI agents for a pair, a team or a department;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • automated analysis of verbatim transcripts by combining generative AI and software automation; design of a dashboard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The workshops then move on to practical application: creating your own AI agent, experimenting with augmented research and RAG creation, designing evaluation grids, working on report writing, or learning about prompt engineering. The offer is tailored to each school according to the needs of the staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Making AI a collective subject at the IMT level<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Beyond discovering the tools, the IAGen Tour aims to establish a common culture around generative AI<\/strong>. The exchange sessions allow for the comparison of practices, the identification of relevant uses, but also for questioning their limits and the conditions under which they can be deployed, as well as the issues related to data sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    With these first steps at IMT Nord Europe, IMT Atlantique and IMT Mines Al\u00e8s, the IAGen Tour is thus initiating a dynamic that is set to continue in the other IMT schools: sharing what works, pooling experiences, and enabling everyone to better understand what generative AI can bring to their profession.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
