On 3 and 4 December 2025, the IMT Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence scientific community \u2014 led by S\u00e9bastien Harispe (IMT Mines Al\u00e8s) and Samir Loudni (IMT Atlantique) \u2014 organised a strategic seminar on the \u00c9vry campus of Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com Business School. Hosted by Nicolas Souli\u00e9, Deputy Director of the Data Analytics, Economics and Finance Department (DEFI) at Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com Business School, the seminar brought together experienced researchers working on operational business challenges, with the aim of strengthening ties between academic and industrial stakeholders and creating new opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event opened with a review of the actions carried out across the community\u2019s six key focus areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In connection with the MACMIA project<\/a>, several companies developing or deploying AI solutions \u2014 AMICS<\/a>, Assystem<\/a>, Carrefour<\/a>, Cisco<\/a> et Saint-Gobain<\/a> \u2014 were invited to share their needs, the technological challenges they face and the transformations underway in their sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A workshop led by Loubna Sallak (Cap Digital<\/a>), et de Monika Jo\u00a0(IMT) identified shared challenges related to digital skills and concrete avenues for cooperation. These discussions continued during a round table co-hosted by Jean-Christophe Baudez, Managing Director of the CIMES competitiveness cluster<\/a> and Yolima Fauchet (IMT), providing a valuable forum to explore potential partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the same spirit of openness, several academic partners, including ESIGELEC<\/a> and <\/a>Universit\u00e9 de technologie de Troyes<\/a>, also took an active part in the discussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The second day was dedicated to internal workshops designed to enhance awareness of individual areas of expertise, strengthen collaboration between teams and identify synergies that remain underexploited. Four cross-cutting themes were explored:<\/p>\n\n\n\n These discussions contributed to the development of structuring projects, particularly with a view to preparing new European initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This seminar marks an important step in structuring the IMT community around AI and data analytics.
