On November 25 and 26, 2025, the Institut Mines-T\u00e9l\u00e9com (IMT) took part in the Adopt AI Summit at the Grand Palais in Paris. Held under the high patronage of President Emmanuel Macron<\/strong>, this major European event brought together over 25,000 attendees and 500 speakers to explore how businesses can adopt artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over two days, public decision-makers, researchers, industry leaders, and startups discussed real-world applications of AI in key<\/strong> sectors including industry, healthcare, finance, environment, mobility, cybersecurity, and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening European Digital Sovereignty through AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019IMT \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent sur le stand E2 de l\u2019International Demo Zone, au sein du French-German Tech Lab<\/strong>, un espace coordonn\u00e9 par la Chambre franco-allemande de commerce et d\u2019industrie (AHK Frankreich). Cette pr\u00e9sence commune, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d’Inria<\/a>, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft<\/a>, DFKI<\/a>, CISPA, ENACT, Gaia-X<\/a> et KIT, refl\u00e8te la volont\u00e9 partag\u00e9e de b\u00e2tir un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me franco-allemand de l\u2019IA<\/strong>, fond\u00e9 sur la coop\u00e9ration scientifique et industrielle et au service de la souverainet\u00e9 num\u00e9rique europ\u00e9enne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMT took part in the International Demo Zone (stand E2) within the French-German Tech Lab<\/strong>, an area coordinated by the French-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Frankreich). This joint presence, alongside Inria<\/a>, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft<\/a>, DFKI<\/a>, CISPA, ENACT, Gaia-X<\/a> and KIT, reflects a shared ambition to build a French-German AI ecosystem<\/strong> based on scientific and industrial cooperation\u2014serving the goal of European digital sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This momentum continues the work of the German-French Academy for the Industry of the Future (GFA)<\/a>, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2025. Launched in 2015 at the initiative of President Macron, this initiative symbolizes the strength of the partnership between IMT and the Technical University of Munich and provides a solid foundation for the Franco-German Dialogue of AI Industry Leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Framework for a European Industrial AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Together with Fraunhofer and Inria, IMT presented the initial outcomes of the Franco-German Dialogue of AI Industry Leaders<\/a>, launched in January 2025 in Berlin and strongly supported by the German Federal Agency for Artificial Intelligence (AFA). A follow-up session will be held in Paris in March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AFA plays a pivotal role in this strategic cooperation, helping to establish a long-term bilateral dialogue between academic and industrial stakeholders in both countries. Through sector-based workshops (energy, healthcare, robotics, telecommunications, etc.), more than 100 French and German companies have collaborated on real-world industrial AI use cases, identifying regulatory barriers, sharing technological needs, and co-developing a roadmap toward a sovereign, competitive and sustainable European AI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim is to turn this dialogue into a long-lasting platform for bilateral projects, bringing together researchers, businesses, and startups to accelerate innovation and reinforce Europe\u2019s technological sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n

IMT: A Driving Force in Technological Transformation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As France\u2019s leading public Federal Institute of Technological Universities<\/a> for engineering and management, and a national ambassador for the \u201cOsez l\u2019IA\u201d plan<\/a>, IMT plays a central role in supporting industrial and digital transitions.
