Alongside its teaching, research and innovation work, IMT aims to keep people updated and disseminate scientific and technology knowledge within its various fields. The Institut and its graduate schools are thus committed to a societal movement to spread the scientific culture and promote scientific career paths, as well as to contribute to public debate. To this end, projects to increase awareness, disseminate knowledge and publish scientific works for a variety of target audiences have been developed.
Scientific updates allow the latest news on researchers and research projects to be continually published through the media and social networks. More information
Dissemination of scientific culture comes through the work and projects of numerous research professors from our graduate schools as well as participation all year round in a large number of public events on a national, local or even European scale, such as the Fête de la science or the Nuit des chercheurs, etc…
It is also driven by La Rotonde, the Mines Saint-Etienne center for scientific, technical and industrial culture in the Loire region, established in 1999. Working in collaboration with various local partners, La Rotonde offers exhibitions and access to scientific knowledge all year round to audiences of all ages, and especially to children.
