Science Festival

IMT Mines Albi will be opening the doors of its research laboratories to welcome school students on October 8,9 and 10. Through unique workshops and activities, students will discover science careers and the scientific research conducted by researchers, technicians and PhD students. IMT Mines Albi is organizing workshops for children in the last two years of primary school on October 9-10 in partnership with the Main à La Pâte pilot site and the Atelier Canopé du Tarn. The program will include interactive screenings in the Amphithéâtre d’Honneur, specific workshops and laboratory visits. October 18, conference with Gérard de Vecchi on “Developing Critical Thinking”.

-IMT Mines Alès: a conference on “artificial neural networks in daily life”, a chance to “discover the mechatronics platform” and a conference entitled “Water and pollution?”, led by researchers from the school.- 12 October: “Culturelle” with Silvana Condemi, a paleoanthropologist and Director of Research at the CNRS.

– Télécom SudParis: This year the “Science Near You” event will allow you to relive the French robotics competition, “Coupe de France de robotique” with the student-engineers from the school and their robot, “Aspi”.

– La Rotonde Mines Saint-Étienne and throughout the Loire Valley: These events will use the theme of “preconceived ideas” to explore all scientific fields, from biodiversity to sciences of the universe, to human sciences and nanotechnology. Starting on September 26, film screenings, activities, conferences, exhibitions, walks, debates, shows and workshops will help the public better understand science and scientific issues, share knowledge and offer a better understanding of the world around us.

– Mines Saint-Étienne, Gardanne campus: This event will offer a wide variety of free and original initiatives at the Georges Charpak Provence campus on the theme of movement, entitled “Deux temps, trois mouvements!” Discover the many different facets of movement and its technical and scientific aspects through a variety of experiments, games, workshops, shows and stands!
