JESS 2019 | Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: the engineer-doctor duo at the heart of innovation

Each year since 2014, the JESS event (Journée Efficience des Systèmes de Soins) dedicated to the efficiency of healthcare systems brings together roughly one hundred participants from the industrial, healthcare and academic fields. Increasing collaboration is taking place between doctors and engineers. However, there is still a lack of knowledge in the hospital sector regarding the applications of industrial engineering and operational research for healthcare systems. The goal of this conference is therefore to bring together doctors, healthcare professionals, researchers in applied mathematics and engineers to focus on issues related to the efficiency of healthcare systems and the engineer’s role in optimizing these systems.
