“From ordinary risk to threat: DEMOCRITE, an operational tool for overall safety” Congress

French firefighters are facing changes in their profession due to a growing demand for emergency services and a wider range of operations. These new missions, coupled with changes at the territorial level, have led the Paris Fire Department to review how its resources are deployed. The ANR DEMOCRITE project, a territorial risk coverage engine demonstrator, brings together eight partners from the public and private spheres, including IMT Mines Alès.

It is based on a multidisciplinary approach to meeting the operational need identified by the Paris Fire Department: analyzing past operational experience and map data in order to better anticipate operations and risks in the area of operation. This day marks the end of the project and has a double objective: to present the work and to disseminate the findings.
