2021/2022 Edition of Fondation Mines-Télécom Awards: call for applications !

For the latest edition of the Fondation Mines-Télécom Awards, the foundation is calling for student applications for the Best graduation internship  and Best apprenticeship experience awards.

Applications for the Fondation Mines-Télécom Awards must be submitted to the contact person for each IMT school before Wednesday, November 10. The nominees will be announced during the week of December 13, 2021.

Required documents: 

  • A single-page resume including the applicant’s education, work experience and contact information (personal and professional email addresses, mobile phone number).
  • Two reference letters written by the academic director and apprenticeship supervisor stating what made the apprenticeship experience remarkable.
  • A copy of the apprenticeship or internship assessment including the grade for the presentation reflecting the applicant’s ability to give an oral presentation of their work.
  • A ten-page report for the Fondation Mines-Télécom jury, presenting the work conducted during the apprenticeship or internship.
  • The electronic version of the report must also be included and can constitute an additional element for the jury.
  • The application files must be completed in English.

The following students are eligible to apply for the Best graduation internship award:

  • Students who have completed an initial training program at an Institut Mines-Télécom school (IMT Atlantique, IMT Lille Douai, IMT Mines Albi, IMT Mines Alès, Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, Mines Saint-Etienne, Télécom SudParis, Télécom Paris, Eurecom).
  • Students retraining for a new profession may not apply.
  • Internships completed by students who have already worked as professionals more than one year (excluding the internship period) are not eligible.

The following students are eligible to apply for the apprenticeship experience awards:

  • Students with apprentice status who have completed an initial apprenticeship training program at an Institut Mines-Télécom school (IMT Atlantique, IMT Lille Douai, IMT Mines Albi, IMT Mines Alès, Institut Mines-Télécom Business School, Mines Saint-Etienne, Télécom SudParis, Télécom Paris, Eurecom).
  • To be eligible, the completed apprenticeship must have lasted a total of 12 to 36 months (excluding internship period) and must have been completed during the 2020-2021 academic year.
  • Students retraining for a new profession may not apply.

The complete applications (report for the jury, letters of recommendation, assessments, apprenticeship report, internship report) must be submitted before the deadline.
The jury will not consider any incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline.

As a reminder, the last Fondation Mines-Télécom award ceremony took place on Thursday, June 10 on the Fondation-Mines Télécom’s YouTube channel. The winners were announced from three categories: Graduation internship, Apprenticeship and Theses in the Futur & Ruptures program. They shared a total prize pool of €21,700, funded with support from Fondation Mines-Télécom sponsors.

  • Sonia BEN AYED – Télécom SudParis, who won Best Graduation Internship
  • Jany-Lyse ENGOTTO ANDJEMBE – IMT-BS, who won Best Apprenticeship Experience
  • Erwan BEURIER – IMT Atlantique, who won Best Thesis with his thesis entitled “Characterizations of Organizations for Resilient Detection of Threats”.
